2020 Toward Racial Justice: Race and Identity in the Media

WITF’s series of virtual community conversations hosted by Charles Ellison addressing systemic racism and injustice in Central Pennsylvania and beyond continues Thursday, October 8 at 7pm. Join us as we examine race and identity in the media. During this conversation, we’ll discuss the role that news organizations play in covering people of color and the direct impact it can have on stereotypes, cultural perceptions and society as a whole. We’ll also examine the power of the media and who makes the decisions for what to cover, publish and broadcast.
