There are more than four miles total of unpaved trails meandering through this hilly 200-acre Sanctuary, part of the Natural Lands Trust. Hard woods--oak, sweet birch, and tulip poplar-- and meadows, plus views of the Delaware River and Stouts Valley, will delight you. We’ll be in the Pennsylvania Highlands Conservation Area as we climb up Bougher Hill above Stouts Valley. Just to the north of Mariton, is Frys Run Park, where Wildlands has done extensive plantings and stream restoration. On your way home, visit this small park near where Frys Run enters the Delaware. Wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Dogs on leash are welcome. And remember that doggie pooh-bag and leave no trace! Hiking poles are a good idea. Wildlands will supply poles for you if need be. ADA approved bathrooms are on site. This walk is free and is part of the Get Out! For Wellness series, in partnership with Lehigh Valley Health Network. Please register online.
