Wildlands Conservancy-Get Out! for Wellness: Bike & Boat Adventure

Learn more about the coal industry, the canal locks, and life on a canal boat on the Lehigh Canal as you peddle 4 miles on the towpath to Canal Park in Allentown. Then Wildlands’ Safety Guides will fit you with PFDs (Personal Floatation Devices) and paddles, as you clamber into canoes to paddle downstream back to Sand Island in Bethlehem. This trip is appropriate for ages 10 and older. Wildlands provides bike helmets, bicycles, canoes, paddles, and PFDs. You bring a lunch, water shoes, sunscreen, a sun hat, and your sense of adventure to explore the “Metro-Wilderness.” Bathrooms are available at both Sand Island and Canal Park.
